This volume of IBS Scientific Workshop Proceedings collects research work
from the international IBS Workshop on Learner Centered Learning (LCL).
This workshop was organized in frame of DrIVE-MATH – Development of
Innovative Mathematical Teaching Strategies in European Engineering
Degrees project where cooperating universities from Germany, Portugal,
France and Slovakia. One key goal of this project is to implement new teaching
methods in engineering science and apply different kind of active learning
methods in universities. Therefore, main aim of this first workshop was to call
researchers, professors and educators from the world to discuss highlighted
problems of modern higher education systems, especially active learning
and new teaching methodologies in engineering sciences. Professors from
Germany, Mongolia, Philippines, China, India, Sri Lanka and Egypt joined to
the workshop and discussed three days actively around the LCL topic.
